An Edgemont House Engagement Session | Hallie and Rob

It’s not secret that I absolutely love photographing love, whether that’s in the form of weddings, elopements, or even engagement sessions. I recently had the honor of photographing Hallie and Rob’s proposal (be on the lookout for that blog post at a later date), as well as their engagement session!

When thinking about a location for their session, the couple knew that a place that gave all the Tuscany vibes was the perfect choice for their session. Enter: The Edgemont House. This location is absolutely stunning and offers a wide variety of looks for an engagement session.

We started the session inside the Edgemont House utilizing the beautiful bookcases and large windows. I absolutely loved the natural light that poured in! The indoor staircase and archways were also beautiful spots to use to our advantage.

From there, we ventured outside to take some shots with the beautiful architecture before the couple opted for an outfit change. Since their wedding is next spring, Hallie and Rob wanted to wear an outfit that fit the spring aesthetic, as well as an outfit that fit the current season, so they started with Hallie in a beautiful white dress before changing into warmer, cozier fits.

One of the coolest things about shooting at The Edgemont House is how they decorate for each season. Since we opted for a September date, the venue still had some flowers out from the summer season, which was perfect considering Hallie and Rob’s wedding is next spring (which I am super excited for, by the way)!

I loved how green the lawn still was, along with the colorful flowers and shrubbery that provided the most beautiful accents. Overall, I would describe Hallie and Rob’s engagement session at the Edgemont House as classy chic. From the architecture to the elegant outfits, their engagement session was one of my favorites! Hallie and Rob are so comfortable together, and Hallie had a clear vision of how she wanted the gallery to represent their personalities. We worked together to form a vision board and the rest is history!

Hallie says, “We met through my best friend/roommate and Robbie’s best friend and pledge brother! We met on a trip to New Orleans and clicked immediately. We spent all weekend together riding vespas and exploring NOLA. We were both students at the University of Arkansas. Ever since then, we have fallen more in love with each other and are so excited to start this next chapter!”

When thinking about your engagement session, there are so many factors that you need to consider. Things like lighting, time of day, and the overall vibe of the location you want. It’s always super important to ask yourself, “Does this location feel like us?” That’s why it’s important to hire a photographer who will take that extra step in finding a location that suits you as a couple so that all of your engagement session dreams will come true!

I had the best time working with Hallie and Rob, and it’s safe to say that I can’t wait for their spring wedding next year!
