Arkansas Wedding Venues | How to Choose a Venue for Your Perfect Day

When choosing your Arkansas wedding venue, there are lots of factors to consider that are instrumental in making your wedding day perfect. It’s easy to see why Arkansas is such an amazing state to get married in. With the natural beauty that ranges from the delta all the way up to the Northwest part of the state, Arkansas has lots to offer! Enter: the hunt for the perfect wedding venue. From rustic barns to beautifully lit chapels and the chicest of locales, Arkansas wedding venues have much to offer, but it’s important to look at your top choices from multiple angles before making your final selection.

Keep reading to learn about all the things you should look for when choosing your Arkansas wedding venue!

First and foremost, lighting is key! Good artificial lighting inside any venue can make or break the photos you receive in your final gallery. The same goes for natural lighting! When shopping around for venues, look for the amount of natural lighting that fills the space. Large windows are always a bonus in any venue! The more natural light, the better!

The next thing to look for is how spacious the getting ready area is for both sides of the wedding party. More often than not, the getting ready space for the guys isn’t prioritized and isn’t as spacious or as decorative as the girl’s getting ready area. Being able to have enough space to move around for photos inside the getting ready space is so important!

Pro tip: the larger the getting ready space, the less you’ll have to move your stuff around to make it clutter free for photos.

Another thing to look for when choosing your Arkansas wedding venue is the beauty of both the inside as well as the outside. In the event of rain, you want to make sure that you’re just as in love with the inside of the venue as you are the outside. Does the inside have natural lighting? Is it spacious enough to accommodate your guest list if we’re all forced inside? Most importantly, do you vibe with the look of the inside? These are all super important questions to ask yourself before making your final decision.

Finally, and maybe the most important thing to consider out of everything discussed thus far, can you see yourself spending the entire day at this venue? It’s no secret that you will spend an entire day from beginning to end in this space. Is it comfortable? Does it fit your needs? Do you feel like the space suits your personality? At the end of the day, falling in love with your wedding venue is key in having an incredible wedding experience.

Choosing your Arkansas wedding venue can feel like a daunting task, especially with so many venues to choose from! My biggest tip? Visualize what you want your day to look like and try to find a category of venues that best fits your vision. Do you envision rustic, industrial, chic, woodsy, or something else entirely? Narrowing down the vibe that you want your day to feel like will simultaneously rule out venues that don’t fit your vision.
