Here’s what that means when it comes to your photos.
My style is to stay constant and close. That means I’ll always be nearby capturing the elements that make this day yours—the details, guests, emotion and movement. I’m not a “fly on the wall” photographer, but I also know how to stay unobtrusive. When I’ve done my job well, you won’t even notice that I was there until you see your photos and are hit with that emotion. That wow, I didn’t know Heather got it all.
Why do I stick close? Because your emotions aren’t meant to be seen from a distance. So why would I be hanging on the other side of the ballroom when all that goodness is happening up close?

Here’s what you can expect when we work together.
Planning & Prep —
First thing’s first: Let’s jump on a call. We’ll chat about your ideas, your hopes for your photos, and how I can help you make all those visions a reality with your wedding planner or other vendors. Together, we’ll set up vision boards for different aspects of your wedding day. While you’re busy dreaming up your ideas (love them, by the way), I’ll work on a customized timeline and shot list then we’ll work together to refine it all. The timeline we create can be shared with others in your wedding party and your vendors, so we’re all prepped for what you want on your wedding day.
Engagement Sessions —
Two words: Client closet. I stock modern suits and beautiful dresses so your engagement session feels extra luxe and special. Because of our prep work, I’m not about to just drag you to that one field at sunset (you know the one) and snap a few photos. We’ll plan out location, mood and style beforehand so our photo session can be focused on enjoying the moment and getting used to being in front of the camera.
Wedding Day —
Congrats! It’s finally here! Whether you’re eloping just the two of you or planning a celebration with hundreds, you’ve got one job today, and that’s to get married and love every second. Because we prepared, you can simply enjoy this amazing day confident that I know exactly what you want captured. The details, the emotion, the people who’ve come to celebrate with you. I’ll be there every second documenting all that love and emotion.
Your Happily Ever After —
The dress may be packed away and the thank yous in the mail, but your images are a way to take you back to the day you started your lives together. I carefully and thoughtfully edit all my photos to highlight your natural, beautiful love story. You can expect your fully-edited digital gallery 8 weeks after your wedding. I also love designing customized wedding albums for my couples too—ask me about it!
